A Journey through Chai
Chai has been shared and loved for centuries. Its story begins in ancient India, more than 5 000 years ago, where it started as a healing mixture of spices used in Ayurvedic practice. Ginger, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, and pepper were blended together for flavour and their wellness benefits.
Today, chai is enjoyed in countless variations, but its essence remains the same. It is still about warmth, comfort, and connection.
At LMC, we wanted to create a chai that honours this rich history while staying true to our South African roots. By blending chai’s traditional spices with rooibos from the Cederberg, we’ve created something that feels both familiar and refreshingly new.
