Lize’s rooibos journey, the short version

LMC began in the Cederberg, where founder Lize du Preez grew up on a rooibos farm. In 2018, she started LMC to bring rooibos-led blends into modern, everyday life. The focus is simple: source quality rooibos, blend with care, and make it easy to enjoy at home, at work, or on the go.
What guides the range is straightforward. We respect origin, since rooibos thrives in a small part of the Western Cape and that sense of place shapes everything we do. We prioritise consistent flavour so the cup you love tastes the same from box to box. We make practical packaging choices, including compostable pyramid teabags. And we keep people at the centre through long-standing partnerships in the rooibos community, where a share of proceeds supports childcare, education, health and elderly care across worker-owned farms and facilities.
You will taste this focus in the blends. Earl Grey Rooibos is bright and aromatic, a good start to a busy day. Pear & Elderflower Rooibos is crisp and refreshing, especially as a cold brew. Chai Rooibos is warm and smooth for slow evenings. Hazelnut & Chocolate Rooibos is a cosy choice when you want something a little richer. Every blend is naturally caffeine and kilojoule free.
Tea should fit into real life. Think a quick cup before the school run, a jug of cold brew for weekend lunches, or a quiet mug after the dishes are done. LMC blends are designed to slot into those everyday pauses without fuss.
Why this matters to us is simple. LMC is female-founded, proudly South African, and rooted in a farming family story. Keeping rooibos at the centre lets us celebrate local agriculture, protect traceability from crop to cup, and keep building around the communities that make this work possible.
